Report: Resident Evil 8 Will Also be First-Person
Other / 28. 1. 2020

Capcom is currently working on a remake of Resident Evil 3. But there haven’t been any details about the next mainline Resident Evil game following 2017’s Resident Evil 7. Until now at least, in which a new report suggests Capcom will return to the first-person format for the next horror entry. According to the YouTube channel Residence of Evil, Resident Evil 8 will follow in Resident Evil 7’s footsteps and keep the first-person perspective. Eurogamer has heard similar details from sources familiar with Capcom. [widget path=”global/article/imagegallery” parameters=”legacyId=20100732&captions=true”] Resident Evil 7’s first-person perspective was a novel approach to a series that has mostly stayed in the third-person. It also mostly worked, giving Resident Evil a fresh take after years of what fans would consider missteps. Recently, Capcom has largely spent its time working on Resident Evil remakes and those have reverted to the series’ traditional third-person perspective. Games like Resident Evil 2 and the upcoming Resident Evil 3 remake all utilize the classic perspective, albeit on the shiny RE Engine. Other details from Residence of Evil include how Resident Evil 8 will mark the return of RE 7 protagonist Ethan Winters as well as Chris Redfield (presumably with his new design)….

Google Stadia Pro members will be able to add Metro Exodus and Gylt to their Stadia library beginning in February. Both of these games will be free for Stadia Pro members and once added, will remain in their library as long as they have an active subscription. Stadia announced that the two games would be coming to its Pro service on February 1 and will replace Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration and Samurai Shodown. Both of these games will be available through January 31 and will remain in your account until you unsubscribe, as long as you have added them. [widget path=”global/article/imagegallery” parameters=”albumSlug=google-stadia-launch-lineup&captions=true”] For those who need a quick refresher, Metro Exodus is a FPS in which players will have to flee the shattered ruins of Moscow. Additionally, it was announced earlier this week that the final Metro Exodus expansion would release in February – however, it is likely not to be included with Stadia’s offer. Gylt, on the other hand, is a horror game which forces players to face some of their worst fears as they travel through a spooky, yet beautiful, universe. All The Changes Coming to Apex Legends Season 4
Other / 28. 1. 2020

Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation begins February 4th and brings a ton of new changes that keep things fresh including ranked mode updates, a new Battle Pass, a new bolt-action sniper rifle, a new Legend, plus some more mysterious backstory for the Apex Legends universe. Here’s everything we know so far. Map Changes The Assimilation season will be split into halves, each containing a different map and will last for roughly six weeks. During the first split, players will continue playing on the existing World’s Edge map, although it appears to have undergone some changes. During the recent Apex Legends developer stream, we saw that Capital City has been destroyed and the lava beneath the ground is visible. While it’s not a huge change, there may be other locations that are affected which greatly reduces ground areas to explore and loot. World’s Edge will be available from the start of the new season through March 23. After that the second split will begin, bringing with it the return of Apex Legends’ original map, King’s Canyon, which will be available from March 24-May 5. [ignvideo width=610 height=374 url=https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/01/27/apex-legends-revenant-vs-james-mccormic-teaser-trailer] Series 3 Changes Since this is the first Series that features a split,…

Go Battle League preseason rolling out to Pokemon Go Trainers based on level
Other / 28. 1. 2020

Pokemon Go players can start going up against one another in the Go Battle League. Niantic Labs has started rolling out a preseason trial of Go Battle League, which brings PvP to Pokemon Go. To make sure things go according to plan, the preseason will be rolled out based on Trainer level at the moment. More players will be added as soon as stability can be ensured. Trainers included in the first initial round of inclusion will be able to help optimize and balance the Go Battle League feature. This will also provide the developers with information on the ideal length of seasons, rating thresholds for ranks, and more. Trainer Battles within the Go Battle League will rotate between the three leagues, and you will earn rewards for ranking. For the preseason, things will kick off with the Great League and then move on to the Ultra League and the Master League. Leagues will rotate every two weeks. While you can still rank during the preseason, your rank will be partially reset at the beginning of Season 1. You will still earn rewards for battling and winning.   Here’s the preseason schedule:  Great League – going on now Ultra League…

Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind DLC Review
Other / 28. 1. 2020

Kingdom Hearts 3’s Re Mind DLC is oddly jumbled. It’s a pack of weirdly separated content that is simultaneously far less interesting than it could have been story-wise and frustratingly difficult at times combat-wise unless you’ve essentially maxed out Sora’s abilities. And even when you have, the Grand Canyon-sized valley between the challenge of its bosses and everything else that comes before them is so wide that they feel entirely out of place. As a result, this shoehorned side adventure, while offering some bright spots, lands as an odd and underwhelming coda to Sora’s latest adventure. The Re Mind DLC is largely divided into two portions – the first being an underwhelming retread of Kingdom Hearts 3’s climax with miniscule bits of added lore, while the second is a brutal boss gauntlet presented with a disappointing set of Final Fantasy cameos paired with an incredibly in-depth photo mode. That first section, which must be completed before you can tackle the latter, is perhaps Re Mind’s biggest misfire. Screenshots from Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind DLC [widget path=”global/article/imagegallery” parameters=”legacyId=20098268&captions=true”] Lasting about four to five hours, most of it cutscenes, Re Mind revisits the end of Kingdom Hearts 3’s campaign, offering some…

This fight scene in The Witcher Netflix series was done in one take
Other / 28. 1. 2020

The gang fight scene in The Witcher Netflix series is pretty great, and it was all shot in one take. That’s according to The Witcher star Henry Cavill, who takes you through the scene in this video clip. In it, he discusses the props used, and how the actors, stuntmen and the cameraman had to coordinate just perfectly. Here’s how THAT Witcher fight scene came together. #TheWitcher pic.twitter.com/2caXszXhMq — NX (@NXOnNetflix) January 28, 2020 It turned out rather well in the end and is one of the standout scenes in Season One. Hopefully, we’ll more of such scenes in Season Two. Who doesn’t like a really cool fight scene? The Witcher Season 2 is set to air sometime in 2021.
