Respawn CEO Takes Over DICE LA, Unannounced Game Planned

Respawn Entertainment CEO and co-founder will soon be taking on a new role under the EA umbrella as head of DICE LA. The change will happen in 2020 and Zampella says a studio name change and unannounced game are already in the cards. “Under Zampella, there are plans to expand and launch an original, as-yet-unrevealed game,” the LA Times reports. “The company will remain separate from Respawn and, Zampella says, likely will drop the DICE name.” It’s unknown at this time what DICE LA will be renamed as. The studio has often served as a support studio for DICE in Stockholm, Sweden where the company was originally founded. Zampella says that with a new studio name he wants to give the developer “a new image. We want people to say, ‘This is a destination you can go and make new content.’” Continue reading…

Twitch Prime members can download ten free games this month. If you are a Twitch Prime member, you automatically are if an Amazon Prime user, you can download ten free titles this month. From now until February 3, the following titles are free to download: A Normal Lost Phone Anarcute Ape Out Dandara Enter the Gungeon Gato Roboto Heave Ho Kingdom: New Lands Splasher Witcheye Along with free games, there’s plenty of in-game loot available. ‘Toss a Coin To Your Witcher’ Is Now a Playable Song in Beat Saber

If there’s one thing that audiences took away from Netflix’s The Witcher TV show, it’s Jaskier’s “Toss a Coin To Your Witcher” ballad. And now that catchy song is playable in Beat Saber. Holair, a Beat Saber player, created a custom track level for the Witcher song about paying your Witchers. The track was uploaded to BeatSaver, a site for custom player-created levels that anyone on PC can download from. Unfortunately, you can’t change the default red and blue sabers into a steel and silver sword. But you can always just use your imagination. You can check out Holair’s uploaded demonstration of the Witcher Beat Saber level here.
